How does the Umbrella Caddie work?
The Umbrella Caddie product consists of two components, the
Umbrella Caddie and the inner “Slide” piece. The Slide attaches to the
inside of a golf bag via a hook and loop system. The Umbrella Caddie slips over both the rim of the bag and the Slide to form a single, solid
unit. The Slide prevents the Umbrella Caddie from rotating on the bag
when the wind blows. The Slide’s position is placed, by the golfer, at
an optimum angle for the expected wind conditions; i.e., a more
shallow angle for windier situations or a more upright position for
calmer conditions. Once on the bag, all the golfer has to do is press the
lever of the Umbrella Caddie to open the jaws wide enough to place
the handle of the umbrella within. Releasing the handle will allow the
jaws of the Umbrella Caddie to firmly hold the umbrella in
place. The jaws’ rubber grip inserts prevent marring of the umbrella handle. To
retrieve the umbrella, the golfer simply presses on the lever again to
open the jaws wide enough to allow the umbrella handle to slip free
Who could use the Umbrella Caddie?
The Umbrella Caddie is ideal for any golfer. The Umbrella Caddie is so versatile, it can be placed on the bag of player who rides in a golf cart; a player who uses a pull cart; or a player who carries their own bag. The design of the Umbrella Caddie is such that men, women and junior players can easily use it. It has a small enough footprint that it will not be in the way of a player who carries a bag.
